Fort Mill is a fast-growing suburban town in both York, in the U.S. state of South Carolina, and a suburb of the city of Charlotte. The Town of Fort Mill (established 1873) is located just south of the state line shared with North Carolina. Fort Mill Golf Club is an 18-hole championship golf course that rolls through tree-lined fairways. The club was founded in 1948 with the front 9 designed by the legendary Donald Ross. George Cobb designed the back 9, which opened in 1959.
